Designed for students with an IT-related diploma, the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology (BAIST) – Network Management major prepares students to automate, implement, and secure modern information technology infrastructures. With a focus on enterprise networking, cybersecurity, server virtualization, and cloud technologies, this program equips graduates with the expertise to play a critical role in supporting and protecting the systems business relies on.
Students will gain hands-on experience in network implementation, automation, virtualization, cloud computing, and IT security. The curriculum also emphasizes troubleshooting, risk management, and business continuity planning—ensuring graduates can maintain and safeguard information technology systems. Students will also learn business skills such as communication, decision making, problem solving, time management, as well as teamwork and collaboration.
Graduates of the BAIST-NM major are prepared for careers such as IT Support Lead, IT Manager, Infrastructure Support Analyst, Network Operations Analyst, Cloud Analyst, Network Security Analyst, Network Administrator and System Administrator. With strong industry connections and a focus on applied learning, this program opens doors to careers across many sectors including technology, healthcare, finance, government and telecommunications.
